The wheel has three layers of nickel diamond plating to provide long life. You can expect 200 or more sharpenings from a grinding wheel. Note: this wheel also fits the model 250. However it is recommended that the factory install the wheels for this model. Please contact Drill Doctor for their exchange program. This will not work for the 750X
