Gentiana True Blue PP 20433 Spigelia a far cry from whatGentiana 'True Blue' is a 2008 introduction from breeder Darrell Probst, who, in his quest for a longer flowering gentian crossed a Gentiana makinoi hybrid with a Gentiana scabra hybrid to obtain this gem. The upright, 18" tall, well branched stems of Gentiana 'True Blue' are adorned with glossy green foliage and topped from mid June into September (NC) with large, 2", pure blue, open flowers. Well drained soils with average moisture are perfect.
