This boutique estate is family owned and they don't sell their cognac to the big houses. They age in French oak barrels for 15 years much longer than most VSOP cognacs and bottle without additives at 80 proof. Like Hennessy, this VSOP is rich, round and sweet, but the Guillon Painturaud is more complex and has a creamier mouthfeel.
