The jar with a pronounced dome or bell shaped cover mounted with an acorn shaped finial, both the cover & base are finely decorated with boats on a river within a landscape with castle ruins. The jar has a painted dedication to the front in black lettering, with the legend; "A Present to Mr. Capes 1834". It is rather rare to have such a
