Spirit Owl sculpture Width: 19cmThese anthropomorphic creatures are handmade in stoneware, fired twice and glazed in Japanese shino. Their faces are layered with pigment and then highlighted in a transparent glaze in order to animate their eyes. They each have a small pocket on their back in order to present them with an offering, be that a note of help or feathers and flowers. Theyre inspired by the way many humans often have a look of a specific animal, frequently one they are
