Baker’s notes & crumb story
Description
the 2017 Flor de Pingus was produced from very concentrated grapes with lots of tannin
Disgorged January 2005
Despite all of the considerable potential this is displaying this level of reduction is cause for concern and while it may pass
The 2009 Barbaresco is absolutely remarkable for the way it carersses the palate with endless layers of sweet red fruit
Jean-Philippe Fichet, Meursault Tessons Vintage:2017 the 2017 Flor de PingusThis is both firmly reduced and still displaying residual malolactic hints. Otherwise there is once again fine richness to the round and plump flavors that possess a bit more volume if much less evident minerality on the already beautifully complex finale. This is also relatively tightly wound and will need at least a few years to develop better depth but in time, this promising effort should be excellent.
