Caroline Morey, Chassagne Montrachet Caillerets Vintage:2017 dried roses and earth
Baker’s notes & crumb story
Description
dried roses and earth
its vinous core of fruit cloaks the vintage's brisk acids to achieve real plenitude in a year that's sometimes rather tautly austere
tobacco and white- pepper notes
There is excellent punch and detail to the middle weight flavors that are less muscular but even more harmonious with the same fine depth and length
Caroline Morey, Chassagne Montrachet Caillerets Vintage:2017 dried roses and earth(from a . 75 ha parcel of 35 to 40 year old vines). Here the expressive and more elegant nose is compositionally similar to that of the Vergers but with even more citrus character. The more mineraldriven and slightly more refined medium weight flavors evidence fine length on the intensely lemony, crisp and clean finish. This highly complex if youthfully austere effort is tightly wound today and will need a few years to flesh out. (90 93) 2024+
