Francois Parent, Pommard Epenots Brut Zero this is the estate's entry-level(from both Grands and Petits). This is also moderately toasty with its very ripe aromas of earth, the sauvage and layered dark cherry and currant that are trimmed in pretty spice wisps. The rich, round and velvety big bodied flavors brim with dry extract that serves to buffer the mouth coating tannins on the impressively well balanced and highly persistent finish. This is a very firm but marvelously good Epenots and one to strongly consider. (92 94)
