Vintage Noritake Porcelain Pitcher Hand Painted Venetian Gondola Scene 1930s petit point Shoulders: 22” across seam-to-seamThis is a hand painted small pitcher or jug made by Noritake the red backstamp M in wreath with Japanese characters underneath on the underside of the piece dates it, I believe, to just around 1930. The front is handpainted with a Venetian gondola scene against a stencilled silhouette of Venetian architecture. The piece has an interesting blue and green principle colour combination and is trimmed in gold paint. It has a height of 5 3 4 to the top of
