Baker’s notes & crumb story

Description

Usually the evergreen foliage gets tattered overwinter

The 15" tall stalks of bright reddish-purple flowers top the clump in late winter

we have grown it with great success in typical garden soils

that's one of our favorite hardy aroids

Crinum White Queen Deparia Usually the evergreen foliage getsThanks to Scott Ogden for sharing this wonderful Luther Burbank hybrid, which he described as "arguably the most lovely crinum ever bred." We've finally got it propagated so we can spread this plant far and wide. Crinum 'White Queen' is a cross of Crinum x powellii 'Alba' and Crinum macowanii, which should give it very good hardiness probably into Zone 6. The very long wide leaves make an imposing, but slowly offsetting, clump topped in late spring
