The commercials advertised Jordan's shoes with Spike Lee playing his Mars Blackmon character from She's Gotta Have It. One ad was a picture of MJ holding Blackmon up by the head, like he was a basketball. Beneath the two it "Best On Earth, Best On Mars." A nice pun on the name. Shortly after, Nike remade the same ad, pairing Jordan with two actors instead this time: Bugs Bunny and Marvin
