The anejo expression means it is aged for at least 12 months in oak prior to bottling imparting a color and whiskey-like complexity with vanilla and caramel flavors
It was distilled in late 2014 and laid to mature in a single bourbon cask for a little over three years before being bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colouring
