Domaine Coche-Dury Volnay 1er Cru 2018 Size:Regular with dried oregano and basilThe usual blend of Les Taillepieds and Clos des Chne, the 2018 Volnay 1er Cru has a more savory bouquet than the Auxey Duresses, hints of dried blood mingling with the iron filings that infuse the red and black fruit. The palate is the most saline of the three reds that I tasted, delivering firm grip toward the finish. Maybe a little chewy at the moment; it just need 45 years in bottle.
