McCall Corchaug Estate 'Ben's Blend' North Fork of Long Island 2014 ALLOCATED Aromas of lanolinThis blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot sees 18 months in French oak. The result is a rounded, nicely plump wine replete with ripe red plum, cherry, menthol, coffee, damp herbs and clove. Smooth tannins and bright acidity meet a gentle seam of bitter cocoa, which hold all the fruit tones in place through the toasty finish.
