Ruscus 'Wheeler's' is a self-fruiting form (without benefit of a sexual partner) of a normally dioecious plant

producing masses of 2' tall pitchers that are green at the base and topped with heavily reticulated green and white pitcher tops

topped in late spring with 4' spikes with white flowers

these have been very slow to produce a limited number of offsets

This century plant forms a dense cluster of tight, dark green, 10" tall x 16" wide rosettes, each leaf tipped with stunning black terminal spines, but no teeth.
