with the richness nicely held in check by bitter pithy acidity and mineral hints

Roulot, Auxey Duresses 1er Cru Vintage:2018 A deeper hue compared to(from Bas des Duresses and Les Grands Champs; 50% whole clusters). This is aromatically similar to the Monthlie though with a much broader array of floral elements thanks to the substantial percentage of whole clusters. The barely middleweight flavors are also on the lighter side but with better punch and notably better depth on the lingering and slightly more structured finale. This is really quite pretty and fashioned in an understated style.
