Aucuba japonica var borealis Male Man White Garden 8" tall x 1' wideAucuba japonica var. borealis 'Male Man' is a male selection of the northern Japanese, cold hardy form of Aucuba japonica. This selection originated in Japan and was imported by plantsman Rick Crowder as an un named female obviously a ploy to enter the country. The 3' tall, dwarf specimen is clothed with broad green leaves and adorned with short terminal spikes of small purple flowers in late winter. Plant Aucuba 'Male Man' near Aucuba 'Bored Female'
