Pair Antique German Meissen Porcelain Openwork Compotes Footed Gilt Floral Bowls Drawings & Prints A very rare antique DutchA very good pair of antique mid 19th century Meissen porcelain compotes or footed bowls, circa 1850. The bowls are very finely made of open pierced work, with a band of diamond shaped cut out reticulations, these are punctuated with five ornate Rococo cartouches containing brightly colored hand painted flower sprays surrounded by Rococo gilding, there are a number of corresponding floral sprays to the center of the bowl too.
