Giacomo Borgogno, Barolo Liste other_regions_australia Here the mildly toasty nose
Baker’s notes & crumb story
Description
Here the mildly toasty nose is marred by post malolactic fermentation aromas though there is good freshness to the attractively textured middle weight flavors that aren’t especially dense though I like the verve and salinity on the delicious and lingering finale
offering smoke-accented pear skin
all the fruit was diverted to the Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco instead
The fruit bestows purity
Giacomo Borgogno, Barolo Liste other_regions_australia Here the mildly toasty noseComplex aromas of dried porcini, plum and cedar follow through to a full bodied palate, with silky tannins and a chewy finish. Lots of new wood on the finish. Needs time. Best after 2009. 350 cases made. JS
