Juncus inflexus Afro Tony's Favorites via Darrell ProbstI first spotted this fascinating deer resistant Eurasian native bog plant in England decades ago at the garden of the introducer, Joe Sharmon. Unlike the smaller corkscrew rush, Juncus 'Afro' is virtually a corkscrew rush on steroids with dusty blue evergreen foliage! Each 2' wide clump resembles an upside down dish of 3 day old blue spaghetti after rigor mortis has set in. We have found this to grow equally as well in typical, even dry garden soil.
